Why different Camera shots are important - camera shots are important because they make the film more interesting to watch and the different camera angles can get different points across.
Opening Shots
An example of a good Opening shot is from the film IT (2017) - It is a good opening scene because it gives the viewer Suspense and the scene makes you want to keep watching the film to see what is going to happen next.
Establishing shot
It is a shot that establishes where the video is set it could be the outside of a building, inside a building, it could a drone shot.


Very Long Shot
A very long shot is A shot which can have people in it but at a long distance and you can see the surroundings that the person is in.

Long Shot
A long shot is a shot of a person from head to toe and they can be used to show a location in the background.


Medium Shot
A medium long shot is a picture that shows only half of the person and you can still see a background


Medium long shot
A medium long shot is a long shot but without the persons feet in the picture and with a background.


close up
A close up is a shot very close to something or someone they can be used to show detail and to show how a subject might be feeling from their facial expressions.


Medium Close up
A Medium closeup is a close up of shoulders and above. It can be used to make you focus on the subject.

Extreme close up
An extreme closeup is a shot extremely close to the persons face and can show just the eyes. It can also be used to make you focus on their facial expressions.


Dutch Angle/Tilted angle
A dutch angle is a shot when the camera is tilted to one side. It can make the viewer fell a sense of uneasiness


Low Angle shot
It is a shot where you take the picture from low down for example the floor and it can be used to give a Subject power or make them look intimidating. But it could also show weakness if there are larger subjects in the shot.


High Angle Shot
A high angle shot is where the picture is from above the subject. This can make a Subject look powerless because it can make them look smaller.

Establishing shot - Used at the beginning of the video to Show the Item the Video is going to show you to do something with.

Angled full shot - Used to show the full item but with a different angle

Overhead top down shot - Used to show the top of the item

Close up - Used to show Specific Parts of the item for example the on button
